About

Victoria Miller, LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Having worked in behavioral/mental health facilities, hospitals and patient homes for the past 21 years, Victoria will bring a depth of knowledge and experience to your therapy journey.

While working for Summit Medical Center in the early 2000’s, Victoria returned to school to obtain a Masters degree in Social Work.  After graduating, completing internships and the extensive State requirements, she passed the exams the first time and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for California.

Her first employment as a Therapist and Social Worker was in a locked psychiatric facility providing intensive therapy and interventions to the most vulnerable adults, adolescents, and children during acute psychiatric episodes.  In following years she was employed in hospital emergency rooms, ICUs and other medical floors of Bay Area hospitals as well as doing field work as a Hospice Social Worker in San Francisco.

Victoria has provided therapy to adults of all ages with many different challenges, including the most medically frail and elderly at the end of life.  These experiences motivated Victoria to open her own private practice in 2018.  Helping clients one on one is intuitive and a passion for Victoria.  Each client is viewed as an individual with a voice to be heard and needs to be met.

Victoria was born and raised in Northern California and continues to call the Bay Area her heart and her home.  Her hobbies include hiking, gardening, cooking, dancing, spending time at the coast or in the mountains with family and friends, or just quiet walks alone with her beloved fur baby companion.

Victoria’s friendly, down to earth, and “strengths based” approach helps clients balance their goals, wishes and desires with options.  With her “in the trenches” experience Victoria shows an understanding of symptoms and issues as they affect people in both the clinical world and real world.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
